Ingredients
Scale:
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt, then set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together using an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips with a spatula.
Divide the dough into two equal portions and shape each portion into a log. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Once chilled, slice the logs into ½-inch thick rounds and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are soft.
Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
