This recipe combines the comforting flavors of fall with a delightful twist, infusing gin into a spiced tea blend for a perfect beverage.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups of water
2 apple-flavored tea bags (or black tea bags)
1 medium apple, sliced
2 cinnamon sticks
1 tablespoon of honey (or to taste)
1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice (optional)
1 cup of gin
1 tablespoon of dried apple slices
1 tablespoon of whole cloves
1 tablespoon of additional cinnamon sticks (optional)
Instructions
In a clean glass jar, combine the gin, dried apple slices, whole cloves, and additional cinnamon sticks if using. Seal the jar tightly and let it infuse for at least 48 hours, shaking it gently once a day.
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Add the apple-flavored tea bags and apple slices to the boiling water, allowing them to steep for 5-7 minutes.
Remove the tea bags and add the honey and fresh lemon juice. Stir well until honey dissolves completely.
Strain the tea into a large teapot or individual mugs, ensuring the apple slices are removed.
Pour in 1-2 ounces of the gin extractor into each cup of tea. Stir gently to combine.
Garnish with a fresh apple slice or a cinnamon stick before serving.
