Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound of sirloin or tenderloin, cut into bite-sized cubes
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, ideally at room temperature
3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
Start by seasoning the steak cubes: In a bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, then toss the steak pieces until evenly coated.
For the stovetop method: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add half of the steak cubes. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned.
Remove the first batch and set aside. Repeat with the remaining steak cubes and butter.
Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Return all the steak bites to the skillet and toss them with the garlic butter sauce for an additional 1-2 minutes.
For the air fryer method: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Place the seasoned steak cubes in a single layer and cook for about 8-10 minutes.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and add minced garlic, cooking for about 30 seconds. Drizzle this garlic butter sauce over the cooked steak bites.
