There's something magical about homemade treats, and Easy Homemade Donut Holes are no exception. These little spheres of joy are not only delicious but also incredibly easy to make, making them perfect for family breakfasts, parties, or when you simply crave something sweet.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ cup granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup whole milk
2 large eggs
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup granulated sugar for cinnamon sugar (optional)
2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
1 cup chocolate icing (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) if baking, or heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C) if frying.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
If baking, lightly grease a mini muffin tin and fill each cup about ¾ full with batter. If frying, use a tablespoon to drop batter into the hot oil.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, or fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden.
For cinnamon sugar donut holes, mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and toss the warm donut holes in it. For a chocolate glaze, drizzle icing over the warm donut holes.
