Ingredients
Scale:
Fresh Cherries - 4 cups, pitted and halved
Granulated Sugar - 1 cup
Lemon Juice - 2 tablespoons
Water - 1/2 cup
Fresh Mint - optional, for garnish
Instructions
Rinse the fresh cherries under cool water to remove any dirt or residues. Remove the stems and pits, then cut them in half.
In a blender or food processor, combine the pitted cherries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and water. Blend until you achieve a smooth mixture.
For a smoother sorbet, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl to remove any solids.
Pour the cherry mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer for about 2 to 3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
Once the sorbet has reached a firm yet scoopable texture, it’s ready to serve.
