This recipe takes the humble corn and transforms it into a savory side dish that's bursting with flavor. Roasting or grilling corn on the cob with a rich garlic butter and a sprinkle of parmesan creates a delicious twist that pairs beautifully with barbecues, picnics, and summer gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale:
4 ears corn on the cob, husked and cleaned
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for added flavor)
Instructions
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F/200°C). Husk the corn and remove all silk strands.
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over each ear of corn, ensuring to coat all sides thoroughly. Place the corn directly on the grill grates.
Grill the corn for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until the kernels are tender and slightly charred.
Once grilled, remove the corn from the grill and sprinkle each ear with grated Parmesan cheese while it's still hot.
If desired, sprinkle with smoked paprika and fresh parsley for added flavor and presentation. Serve immediately.
