Ingredients
Scale:
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened to room temperature
1 cup sour cream
1 packet taco seasoning mix
1 can (15 oz) refried beans
1 cup salsa
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 large tomato, diced
1/2 cup sliced black olives
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1 avocado, diced (optional)
Fresh cilantro (optional)
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning. Mix until smooth and creamy, ensuring there are no lumps for an even texture.
In a serving dish or a large flat plate, spread the refried beans evenly over the bottom, creating a solid layer that will hold up the other ingredients.
Layer the cream cheese mixture on top of the beans, smoothing it out with a spatula to cover the beans completely.
Pour the salsa over the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the salsa layer.
Add a layer of shredded lettuce followed by diced tomatoes.
Add the sliced black olives and green onions on top to finish the layering.
If desired, garnish with diced avocado and fresh cilantro.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
