Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt to make the garlic spread.
  3. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and spread the garlic mixture evenly on both halves.
  4. Place the garlic bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy.
  5. While the bread is baking, prepare the taco filling. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  6. Drain any excess fat from the skillet and add the taco seasoning, diced tomatoes, corn, and black beans. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Once the taco filling is ready, remove the garlic bread from the oven and spoon the filling onto each half.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the taco filling.
  9. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Top with sour cream, sliced green onions, cilantro, and jalapeños if desired.
  11. Slice into individual portions and serve warm.
