Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center.
  3. Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F).
  4. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side.
  5. Flip the patties and within the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty.
  6. While the cheese melts, place the burger buns cut side down on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until lightly toasted.
  7. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and set aside.
  8. Spread a generous amount of the homemade sauce on the bottom of each toasted bun. Add the lettuce, grilled patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, and red onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
