Ingredients
Scale:
1 pound ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup marinara sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup sliced pepperoni or your choice of toppings (such as mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives)
Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
4 hamburger buns
Extra marinara for dipping
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into burger patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet to medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on one side until browned. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
During the last minute of cooking, spoon marinara sauce over each patty and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Cover with a lid to allow the cheese to melt.
While the cheese is melting, place the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster to lightly brown them.
Place each cheesy pizza burger on a toasted bun. Top with additional pepperoni, basil, and any other toppings you desire. Serve with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
