This dish seamlessly combines crispy skin, tender meat, and an array of savory seasonings, making it a family favorite. The rich flavor and juicy texture come from the natural fats in the chicken thighs, which are often more forgiving than leaner cuts.
Ingredients
Scale:
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs, preferably of high quality
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons soy sauce (optional)
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
In a large bowl, combine the olive oil and spice mixture. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well-coated.
Place the chicken thighs skin-side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the skin is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
